Many Canadians with serious medical conditions do not respond well to conventional medical treatment and may be helped by marijuana. In Canada possession of marijuana is legal only for qualified medical patients. Health Canada’s Access to Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR) allows patients to legally possess, purchase cannabis from a Licensed Commercial Producer, and/or apply for a personal production license. In order to register under the ACMPR, patients must have support from a medical doctor or nurse practitioner.

If you are interested in knowing if you qualify to obtain cannabis for medical purposes,

please contact MCRCI Red deer, AB (587.679.4247) for Local or Canada wide service /

The Medicinal Cannabis Resource Centre Inc. (MCRCI) is a private organization created to assist patients, by providing guidance in the use of cannabis for medical purposes in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment and enabling them to meet Health Canada’s requirements to use cannabis legally.

If you are interested in knowing if you qualify to obtain cannabis for a medical purpose, please fill out the questionnaire. The staff at MCRCI will review the information and contact you with the next steps.

MCRCI does not provide patients with a family physician or a specialist. MCRCI works with doctors who have an understanding of cannabis and its medical uses. Those doctors confine their care to issues related to the medical use of marijuana and take responsibility for the support of Health Canada applications. One of the staff members of MCRCI will review your medical history and a doctor’s appointment will be arranged if you qualify.

Committed to being at the forefront of research and development, MCRCI is now embarking on a clinical research study with medicinal cannabis.
